CW27 It's official! The premier of Teen News Now will be this Saturday, June 2, 2007 at 11pm on CW27. Everybody watch and tell your friends to watch. The teens have been working on putting together this show since last August and finally their dream is coming to life. Teen News Now, Hampton Roads’ is the first news production which is created, produced and hosted by teens, specifically for teens. |

CW 27’s Teen News Now is a
program which covers positive stories about what teens are doing in our
area—from their talents and skills to their involvement in the local
community. Features created by teens include Behind the Game, meet the
lone female kicker for Princess Anne High School’s football team in
Virginia Beach and get to know the first male cheerleader at Franklin High
School in Franklin. Also, other features include: E-Pod, entertainment
segments where you’ll get the latest on Pretty Ricky, Miss B and Young
Jock; Stepping Stones, informational features which help kids plan for
college; and segments on fashion, time management and organization, local
hot spots make Teen News Now a must see show. The talent behind Teen News Now includes teens from the various school systems throughout the Greater Hampton Roads area who are ages 13-19. They are instructed in the entire creative process that produces a television news/entertainment program. They write, produce, act as talent, edit, shoot and direct the entire show, including writing/producing the music and even singing the theme song. There are 71 kids involved in this spectacular production. Teen News Now will air every Saturday beginning June 2 at 11 PM only on CW 27. CW 27, WGNT-TV is a part of the CBS Corp. Television Stations Group and currently reigns as one of the highest rated CW affiliates in the country.
